The Melchizedek project is a spiritual discernment group that helps high school and college-aged men consider a vocation to the Priesthood. It is based on the book “To Save A Thousand Souls” by Fr. Brett Brannen. All participants will enjoy a meal at each meeting and receive the book for free.

Lancaster (Fairfield-Hocking Deanery), led by Fr. Ty Tomson at St. Bernadette Church. This one is for both high school and college-aged men. The group meets the first Thursday of each month following the St. Bernadette 6:00pm Mass. The gathering includes supper and discussion until 8:00pm. Come to the church for Mass, then to the Mary Good Center office building behind the church at St. Bernadette, 1343 Wheeling Rd., Lancaster. Columbus, (East Columbus Deanery), led by Fr. Hahn and Fr. Dury at St. Catharine Church in Bexley, 500 S. Gould Rd, Columbus. This one is primarily for high schoolers. The group meets on the Third Thursday of each month. Dinner and discussion beginning at 6:00pm followed by the opportunity to join the weekly Holy Hour and confessions at 7:00pm that take place at St. Catharine Church until 8:00pm. Columbus (Northwest Deanery), led by Fr. Frank Brown at St. Brendan the Navigator Church in Hilliard, 4475 Dublin Road, Hilliard. This one is for young men, ages 16 through mid-twenties. The group meets the first Thursday of each month from 6:30-7:30pm (beginning November 5). The gathering includes supper and discussion. It will take place in the new Davidson Road meeting Room B. Just park in the main parking lot and head toward the doors by the statue of St Brendan – you cannot miss him, he is 8ft tall! Inside the doors there will be greeters to show you the way. Columbus (Center-South Deanery), led by Fr. Hahn at St. Joseph Cathedral, 212 E. Broad St. This group is for college age men and older. The group will meet the first Wednesday of each month (beginning November 4). Participants are invited to come to the Cathedral Undercroft at noon (enter through the main entrance of the Cathedral, enter the church proper, go left and take the elevator down to the undercroft). Lunch and discussion in the undercroft, noon-1:00, followed by a time of prayer in the Cathedral afterwards for those who can stay. AVOW – A Discernment group for young women
AVOW is a spiritual discernment group that helps high school and college-aged women consider a vocation to the Religious Life. It is based on the book Discerning Religious Life by Sr. Clare Matthiass, CFR. All participants will receive the book free.

Led by the Polish Dominican Sisters (but discerning among all of the religious orders) and hosted at St. Brendan the Navigator Church in Hilliard, 4475 Dublin Road, Hilliard. This is open to young women, ages 16 through mid-twenties. The group meets the first Thursday of each month from 6:30-7:30pm (beginning November 5). The gathering includes supper and discussion.
